The Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan has spread misinformation, claiming that the units of the Armed Forces of Armenia opened fire in the direction of the Azerbaijani combat positions located in the Eastern part, at 8:15 p.m. As of 9 p.m the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border zone is relatively stable.

Meeting at the Ministry of Defence administrative complex

On November 2, Defence Minister Suren Papikyan received the EU delegation, the head of the EU observation mission in Georgia and the head of the EU observation capacity in Armenia, Marek Szczygiel, and the head of the EU delegation in Armenia, Andrea Viktorin. Highly appreciating the work of the observation mission, the Minister of Defence reaffirmed his willingness to support the work of the mission. A number of issues related to the activity and cooperation of the observation mission were discussed.

The graduation event of graduates of the "I have the Honor" program for 2022 took place

On November 1, the graduation event of graduates of the "I have the Honor" program in 2022 was held at the V. Sargsyan Military University of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Armenia. In parallel with obtaining higher education in civilian universities, cadets who have mastered military affairs for two and a half years have today sworn to selflessly serve the Motherland in the shoulder straps of the first officer rank- lieutenant. Armenian Deputy Defence Minister Arman Sargsyan congratulated the officers who joined the ranks of the Armenian army. He expressed confidence that the lieutenants who have mastered the exact sciences and humanities at universities, who have mastered military affairs during theoretical classes and training camp, platoon commanders, will give a new breath and quality to the armed forces and will contribute to improving the combat capability of the army. On the same day, a draw was held in the administrative complex of the Ministry of Defence to determine the places of further service of graduates of the "I have the Honor" program.

On November 1, a working meeting was held under the leadership of RA Minister of Defence Suren Papikyan, in which the leadership staff of the RA Ministry of Defence, the Armed Forces and the Armed Forces General Staff, the commanding staff of the army units participated.

The Minister of Defence received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and the military attache of the Republic of Austria to the Republic of Armenia

On October 28, Minister of Defence Suren Papikyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Austria to Armenia Alois Kraut and military attache, Colonel Thomas Ahammer. Suren Papikyan congratulated the ambassador on the occasion of the Austrian National Day. At the ambassador's request, the Minister of Defense presented the situation created as a result of the latest Azerbaijani military aggression. During the meeting, the possibilities of developing Armenian-Austrian cooperation in the field of defence were discussed.

The Minister of Defence received the French delegation

On October 27, RA Defense Minister Suren Papikyan received the delegation headed by Guillaume Olangier, head of the Europe-America Multilateral Operations Service of the General Department of International Relations and Strategy of the French Ministry of Defense. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Armenia Anne Luyo also participated in the meeting.

On October 25, around 1:30 a.m., units of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan opened fire from different caliber firearms in the direction of the Armenian positions located in the eastern direction of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. No casualties from the Armenian side. As of 8:00 a.m., the situation is relatively stable.
