On February 19, around 7:40 p.m., near the village of Khnatsakh, due to an avalanche, an UAZ vehicle of the Ministry of Defence rolled into a gorge, resulting in the deaths of contract servicemen Zorand Hrant Arzumanyan and Zorak Samvel Yeranosyan.
2 servicemen were taken to the garrison hospital with various injuries. Their condition is assessed as satisfactory, life is not in danger.
The crew of the vehicle, trying to help the other servicemen of the unit in extremely bad weather conditions, demonstrated selflessness to perform the task. Unfortunately, as a result of an accident, the aforementioned servicemen were killed.
The Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Armenia shares the heavy sorrow of the loss and expresses support to the family members, relatives and fellow servicemen of the the ones killed as a result of the accident.
