On April 27, the First Deputy Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Edvard Asryan arrived in the Republic of India on an official visit. A welcoming ceremony of Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia Edvard Asryan took place at the Indian Ministry of Defence, after which Lieutenant General Asryan had a private meeting with the Chief of the Defence Staff of the Indian Armed Forces, General Anil Chauhan. The private conversation was followed by a meeting with an expanded delegation. The parties discussed issues related to the current course of cooperation between Armenia and India in the defence sector, summarized the results of the activities carried out within the framework of the bilateral cooperation plan. They also discussed a number of issues related to regional security. At the end of the meeting, agreements were reached on deepening cooperation in a number of professional areas. During his official visit to India, First Deputy Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Edvard Asryan met with the Defence Secretary of India Rajesh Kumar Singh. Issues related to Armenia-India cooperation in the defence sector were discussed.

The parties highly appreciated the current level of bilateral cooperation and emphasized the importance of its continuous deepening.

On April 22, Armenia-Cyprus bilateral and Armenia-Greece-Cyprus trilateral defence consultations were held in Cyprus, in which the delegation of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Armenia headed by Levon Ayvazyan, Head of the Defence Policy and International Cooperation Department participated. During the consultations the process of cooperation in bilateral and trilateral formats and future tasks were discussed, opinions were exchanged on issues related to regional and international security, reforms implemented in the defence sector, and other issues of mutual interest. The parties highly appreciated the development of cooperation in recent years. As a result of the consultations, the heads of the departments responsible for international military cooperation of three countries signed the annual programs of Armenia-Cyprus bilateral and Armenia-Greece-Cyprus trilateral cooperation in the defence sector.

Suren Papikyan conveyed to Prime Minister Kobakhidze warm greetings from the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan. Minister Suren Papikyan presented the priorities and prospects of cooperation, highly evaluating the process of bilateral cooperation in the defence sector. During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to regional security, in the context of which they emphasized that the establishment of long-lasting peace in the region will contribute to the development and prosperity of all countries in the region.
