The units of the RA Armed Forces are taking relevant defensive preventive measures. It is relatively stable at the moment in other sections of the border zone. By 08:25 a.m., the units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces continue artillery and mortar fire against the Armenian positions located in the direction of Sotk. The units of the RA Armed Forces are taking defensive preventive measures. The information disseminated in the Azerbaijani media about the Armenian side using Iranian UAVs does not correspond to the fact. As we have already reported previously , there are no Iranian UAVs in the inventory of the RA Armed Forces. The Ministry of Defence will release an additional report on the situation.

The armed forces of Azerbaijan opened fire on the ambulance carrying the wounded serviceman. The units of the RA Armed Forces are taking defensive preventive measures. The Minister of the Defence of Azerbaijan has also spread a disinformation as if on the evening of May 10, the RA Armed Forces opened fire against the Azerbaijani positions, resulting in a wounded soldier of azerbaijani armed forces. On May 9, on the occasion of the Victory and Peace Day, the leadership of the Ministry of Defence, the Armed Forces and the General Staff of the RA AF, visited Victory park, laid flowers at the memorial to the Unknown Soldier and paid tribute to the memory of the heroes who lost their lives during the Great Patriotic War.

The Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia Suren Papikyan accompanied by the RA military-political leadership, on May 9 visited Victory park on the occasion of Victory and Peace Day. The Minister laid flowers at the Unknown soldier’s memorial and paid tribute to the memory of the heroes who lost their lives during the Great Patriotic War. Minister Papikyan also had talks with the veterans of the Great Patriotic War, congratulated them on the occasion of the holiday and wished good health.

ԱվելինA ceremonial event was held in one of the military formations
On May 5, a ceremonial event was held in one of the military formations of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Armenia in connection with the end of the training assembly. The Chief of the General Staff of the RA Armed Forces- First Deputy Minister of Defence, Major General Edward Asryan greeted the reservists and, on behalf of himself and the Defence Minister, expressed gratitude for the high performance in combat training, combat duty, and exemplary military discipline during the training assembly. Major General Edward Asryan, emphasizing the importance of the 25-day-long training assemblies and their significance in increasing the reservists’ military knowledge, awarded the most outstanding soldiers medals and valuable gifts for combat duty.

ԱվելինMinister of Defence had private talks with the military unit’s officers
In the course of the inspection visit to the N military unit on May 5, the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia Suren Papikyan had private talks with the military unit’s officers. During the tete-a-tete talks, Minister Papikyan touched upon the measures aimed at increasing the combat effectiveness and strengthening discipline within the Armed Forces, as well as other service-related topics. The interlocutors discussed also the servicemembers’ welfare and living conditions. During the inspection visit, the Minister shared meal with conscript soldiers. Afterwards, the Minister awarded valuable gifts to the servicemen with the best performance in training process who were granted vacation.
