By the Decree of President M. Harutyunyan was appointed chief military inspector
<img width="156" height="150" align="left" style="margin-right: 10px;" src="/UserFiles/Image/micha.jpg" alt=""/>On April 16, 2008 RA President Serzh Sargsyan signed a decree on appointed former defense minister Mikael Harutyunyan as a chief military inspector of the President of the Republic of Armenia. According to another decree signed by President Serzh Sargsyan Mikael Harutyunyan was appointed as an adviser to the President of the Republic of Armenia.

<img width="120" height="132" align="left" style="margin-right: 10px;" src="/UserFiles/Image/xachaturov_nshanakum.jpg" alt=""/>On April 15,2008 RA President Serzh Sargsyan signed a decree on appointing Lieutenant-General Yuri Khachaturov the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, First Deputy Defense Minister, dismissing him from the position of the Deputy Defense Minister. According to another presidential decree, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, First Deputy Defense Minister was conferred the rank of Colonel-General.

According to another decree, signed by Presidnet Serzh Sargsyan on April 14, 2008 Seyran Ohanyan was appointed the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia.

ԱվելինOn the Strategy of Recognizing the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh in the Context of Principles and Norms of International Law
After recognition of Kosovo’s independence and adoption of the UN Resolution on the Karabakh settlement proposals were made on the possibility of recognizing the Nagorno Karabakh Republic by the Republic of Armenia. Today the Press Center of the Defense Ministry of the Republic of Armenia (RA), took an interview on the subject from the Head of the Institute of National Strategic Studies of MoD, RA, Major General, Doctor of Political Sciences Hayk S. Kotanjian.
