Fall Recruitment Issues were Discussed at the ARM Ministry of Defence
<img width="250" height="161" align="left" alt="" src="/UserFiles/Image/zorakoch-2010-10-23-b.jpg"/>On the 23rd of October, 2010 in the ARM MoD the sitting of the republican recruitment committee took place, during which the outcomes of the 2010 spring recruitment were summarized and the planning work of the 2010 fall recruitment was discussed. ARM Minister of Defence Seyran Ohanyan opened the meeting. In his speech the Minister underlined the importance of the realization of public awareness, transparency and Army-society mutual trustworthy atmosphere during the fall recruitment process. Then chief of the ARM AF GS Colonel-General Yuri Khachaturov introduced the outcomes of the 2010 spring recruitment process, talking about the success, as well as the shortcomings of it. Colonel-General Yuri Khachaturov also reported that the preparations for the 2010 fall recruitment are fully accomplished.

ԱվելինՊաշտպանության նախարարությունում քննարկվել են աշնանային զորակոչի խնդիրները
<img width="250" height="161" align="left" alt="" src="/UserFiles/Image/zorakoch-2010-10-23-b.jpg"/>Ս.թ. հոկտեմբերի 23-ին ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարարությունում տեղի ունեցավ Հանրապետական զորակոչային հանձնաժողովի ընդլայնված նիստը, որի ընթացքում ամփոփվեցին 2010թ. գարնանային զորակոչի արդյունքները և քննարկվեցին 2010թ. աշնանային զորակոչի պլանավորման աշխատանքները: Նիստը բացեց ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարար Ս.Օհանյանը: Իր խոսքում ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարարը կարևորեց աշնանային զորակոչի ամբողջ ընթացքում հանրային լայն իրազեկման իրականացումը, թափանցիկության և բանակ-հասարակություն լիարժեք փոխվստահության մթնոլորտի ապահովումը: Հիմնական զեկույցով հանդես եկավ ՀՀ ԶՈՒ ԳՇ պետ, գեներալ-գնդապետ Յու. Խաչատուրովը: Ներկայացնելով 2010թ. գարնանային զորակոչի արդյունքները` նա անդրադարձավ ինչպես գրանցված հաջողություններին, այնպես էլ թերացումներին: Գեներալ-գնդապետ Յու. Խաչատուրովը զեկուցեց նաև, որ 2010թ. աշնանային զորակոչի նախապատրաստական աշխատանքները լիարժեքորեն կատարված են:

ԱվելինCollegium Meeting Devoted to the Defence Reforms
<img width="250" height="167" align="left" src="/UserFiles/Image/kolegia-2010-10-22-b.jpg" alt=""/>On the 22nd of October, 2010 in the ARM MoD a collegium meeting took place devoted to the process of the defence reforms, the present issues and the ways of solving them. In his opening speech ARM MoD Seyran Ohanyan stated that the aim of the ARM Defence Reforms is to create a more flexible and modern defence system based on the basic principles of democracy for civil control and defence planning and management, which will meet the modern military demands. Meanwhile, the ARM Minister of Defence underlined the importance of strengthening the strategic resistance system in order to continue the peace imposing policy by the ARM AF. Seyran Ohanyan also talked about the necessity of improving the public awareness mechanisms on defence policy.

On the 21st of October, 2010 ARM MoD Seyran Ohanyan received ambassador of the UK to Armenia Charles Lonsdale to discuss Lt. Col. Nick Ridout’s completing his mission in Armenia and the appointment of Lt. Col. Steve Philips to his position. Seyran Ohanyan highly evaluated Ridaut’s activities towards the development of the Armenian-British military cooperation, wishing him success in his future service. Meanwhile, congratulating Lieutenant-Colonel Steve Philips for being appointed on the position of a military attaché of the UK to Armenia, the ARM MoD expressed his confidence that the Armenian-British military cooperation will be more broadened and strengthened during his office. Օհանյանը բարձր է գնահատել Ն.Ռիդաութի գործունեությունը հայ-բրիտանական ռազմական համագործակցության զարգացման ուղղությամբ` մաղթելով նրան հաջողություններ հետագա ծառայության մեջ: Միաժամանակ, շնորհավորելով փոխգնդապետ Ս. ԱվելինSeyran Ohanyan Met the Minister of Defence of Ukraine
On the 19th of October, 2010 in Crimea, before the Sitting of the Council of Defence Ministers of the CIS Member Countries, ARM MoD Seyran Ohanyan had bilateral meetings with the defence ministers of the CIS Member Countries, during which they discussed matter of common interest in a bilateral format. Particularly, the ARM Minister of Defence Seyran Ohanyan had discussions with the Minister of Defence of Ukraine Mikhail Ezhel. The ministers talked about the relations between the MoDs of the two countries, and the ways they are developed and activated. At the end of the meeting a 2011 cooperation plan between the ministries of defence of the Republic of Armenia and Ukraine was signed. Some of the most important activities of the plan are strategic and operative planning conferences and the cooperation in the spheres of engineering and military education. ԱվելինՍեյրան Օհանյանը հանդիպել է Ուկրաինայի պաշտպանության նախարարի հետ
2010թ. հոկտեմբերի 19-ին Ղրիմում` ԱՊՀ մասնակից պետությունների պաշտպանության նախարարների խորհրդի նիստից առաջ, ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարար Ս. Օհանյանը երկկողմ հանդիպումներ է ունեցել ԱՊՀ մասնակից պետությունների պաշտպանության նախարարների հետ, որոնց ընթացքում քննարկվել են երկկողմ ձևաչափով ընդհանուր հետաքրքրություն ներկայացնող հարցեր: Մասնավորապես, ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարար Սեյրան Օհանյանը քննարկումներ է անցկացրել Ուկրաինայի պաշտպանության նախարար Միխաիլ Եժելի հետ: Նախարարներն անդրադարձել են երկու պետությունների պաշտպանության նախարարությունների միջև ստեղծված հարաբերություններին, դրանց ծավալման և ակտիվացման ուղիներին: Հանդիպման ավարտին ստորագրվել է Հայաստանի Հանրապետության և Ուկրաինայի պաշտպանության նախարարությունների միջև երկողմ համագործակցության 2011թ. պլանը, որի կարևոր միջոցառումներից են ռազմավարական և օպերատիվ պլանավորման խորհրդակցությունները, համագործակցությունը ինժեներական և ռազմակրթական ոլորտներում: ՀՀ ՊՆ տեղեկատվության և հասարակայնության հետ կապերի վարչություն

On the 19th of October, 2010 the delegation headed by ARM MoD Seyran Ohanyan left for Ukraine in order to take part in the sitting of the Council of Defence Ministers of the CIS Member Countries. During the sitting, which will take place on the 20th of October, they will be discussing 21 questions about the cooperation of the defence departments of the CIS Member Countries. They will also discuss specific decisions aimed at developing and activating joint activities. At the sitting they will also discuss the outcomes of the work done by the working groups in the Council of Defence Ministers and will define the 2011 working plan of the Council of Defence Ministers of the CIS Member Countries.
