On February 17th, within the scope of the working visit to Germany, the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia, Suren Papikyan, and the Minister of Defence of Germany, Boris Pistorius, held a brief meeting. The interlocutors discussed the progress of Armenian-German cooperation, expressing satisfaction with the current state and agreeing to further expand cooperation. Both Ministers emphasized the significance of security and stability in the South Caucasus region. The German side expressed readiness to provide assistance for the ongoing reforms in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia.

On February 17th, on the sidelines of his working visit to the Federal Republic of Germany, the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia, Suren Papikyan, held a meeting with the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Bulgaria, Todor Tagarev. During the meeting, matters concerning Armenian-Bulgarian cooperation in the defence field were discussed. Additionally, various issues related to cooperation and regional security were addressed. An agreement was reached to further expand cooperation between both countries.

On February 17th, in the framework of the working visit to the Federal Republic of Germany in the delegation led by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, Minister of Defence Suren Papikyan held a meeting with the Minister of National Defence of Lithuania, Arvydas Anušauskas. The discussion focused on the current state and future prospects of cooperation between both countries. Several agreements were reached to enhance collaboration, particularly within the European Union and NATO frameworks. Additionally, the Ministers addressed various bilateral matters, including regional security issues.

On February 13th, Azerbaijani armed forces' gunfire toward Armenian combat positions near Nerkin Hand (Syunik Province) resulted in 4 killed in action and 1 wounded on the Armenian side. The wounded individual's health condition is currently assessed as moderate, with no immediate threat to life. The Ministry of Defence will publish the list of the deceased at a later time.

As of 9:30 a.m., the firing by Azerbaijani armed forces on Armenian combat positions in the vicinity of Nerkin Hand (Syunik Province) has ceased. The Ministry of Defence urges partner media outlets not to disseminate unverified information, to refrain from referencing individuals with insufficient and inaccurate frontline information, and to rely on official reports from the MoD. The Ministry of Defence will issue additional official statements regarding Armenian casualties and the health condition of the wounded.
