The Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia met with the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Bulgaria
In the framework of his working visit to the Republic of Bulgaria, the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia, Suren Papikyan, met with the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Bulgaria Atanas Zapryanov. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Bulgaria, Armen Yedigarian, was also present at the meeting. The discussions focused on issues related to Armenia-Bulgaria cooperation in the field of defence and the possibilities of cooperation in the military-technical domain. Additionally, the meeting addressed issues concerning multilateral cooperation within the framework of NATO and the EU, as well as regional security. Minister Papikyan provided an overview of the reforms being implemented in the Armenian Armed Forces, outlining their progress and objectives.

On the sidelines of his working visit to Bulgaria, the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia, Suren Papikyan, attended the "HEMUS 2024" international exhibition, which was opened in Plovdiv on June 5th. Minister Papikyan participated in the official opening ceremony of the exhibition. Following the ceremony, Minister Papikyan toured the exhibition pavilions, reviewed the displayed weaponry exhibits, and engaged in discussions with the leaders and representatives of various military-industrial companies.

On June 4th, the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia Suren Papikyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Serbia to Armenia Tatjana Panajotović Cvetković and the Defence Attaché, Lieutenant Colonel Zvezdan Krichak (residence - Tehran). Defence Minister congratulated Lieutenant Colonel Zvezdan Krichak on his accreditation in Armenia and wished him productive activity. During the meeting, issues of cooperation between the two countries in defence field were discussed. An agreement was reached to carry out work to sign an agreement between the Governments of Armenia and Serbia on defence cooperation. Topics regarding reforms being carried out in the Armenian Armed Forces and regional security were also discussed.

Issues related to Armenia-EU cooperation in defence field, as well as discussions on regional security, were addressed. The Defence Minister presented the ongoing reforms within the Armenian Armed Forces.

The event was organized within the framework of the Schuman Security and Defence Forum, where issues related to European security were discussed. During the event, Suren Papikyan engaged in bilateral discussions concerning defence cooperation with the Ministers of Defence of Sweden, Bulgaria, Greece, Cyprus, and Georgia.
