Lieutenant General Edward Asryan participates in the LANDEURO Conference
On July 14, by the invitation of the United States European Command, the First Deputy Minister of Defence-Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, Lieutenant General Edward Asryan, has visited the Federal Republic of Germany to participate in the LANDEURO Conference. In the framework of the conference, Lieutenant General Asryan held a working meeting with the Chief of Staff of the French Army, General Pierre Schill. The issues related to cooperation between the Armenian and French Armed Forces were discussed. Additionally, Lieutenant General Asryan engaged in a series of informal discussions with senior military officials from the Land Forces of the United States and various European countries.

On June 20, between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., units of the Azerbaijani armed forces opened fire in the direction of the Nerkin Hand settlement in the Syunik Province, causing damage to a residential house. No casualties were reported. We urge the Azerbaijani side to conduct an investigation into the shelling of the residential house in Nerkin Hand and to provide public explanations regarding the incident.

On June 16–17, the delegation of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Armenia, headed by Secretary General of the RA MoD Hamlet Batikyan, participated in an extended technical briefing on the Wassenaar Arrangement held in Vienna. The briefing focused on the control of military products and the process of updating the relevant control lists. Within the framework of the visit, the Armenian delegation held a private meeting with Mr. Kaifu Atsushi, Ambassador of Japan and Chair of the Wassenaar Arrangement, as well as with Mr. György Molnár, Ambassador and Head of Secretariat of the Wassenaar Arrangement. Discussions focused on cooperation within the framework of the Wassenaar Arrangement and opportunities for its further expansion. In addition, the delegation held separate bilateral meetings with partners from the United States and France, during which issues related to the control of military products and prospects for enhanced cooperation in this domain were addressed.

From June 3 to 5, the regular session of the working groups on the assessment of the Planning and Review Process (PARP) document, which coordinates the Armenia-NATO partnership, was held at the administrative complex of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Armenia. The meeting focused on reviewing the progress made in implementing the Partnership Goals outlined in the PARP document and on formulating further steps. Participants included representatives from the Ministries of Defence and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, as well as other relevant governmental bodies, and NATO structures involved in the Armenia-NATO Planning and Review Process. Concluding the meeting, the Head of the Defence Policy and International Cooperation Department of the RA Ministry of Defence Levon Ayvazyan and Director of the NATO Defence and Security Cooperation Directorate Piers Cazalet, commended the quality and consistency of the partnership and reaffirmed their commitment to deepening Armenia-NATO cooperation.
