The Minister of Defence and the Minister for the Armed Forces of the French Republic signed several agreements
In the administrative complex of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Armenia, the Minister of Defence, Suren Papikyan, and the Minister for the Armed Forces of the French Republic, Sébastien Lecornu, signed several agreements. Following the signing, the Ministers issued a joint statement for the press. Subsequently, Suren Papikyan and Sébastien Lecornu answered questions from Armenian and French media representatives. Afterwards, the Minister for the Armed Forces of the French Republic, Sébastien Lecornu planted a personalized spruce tree on the premises of the administrative complex of the Ministry of Defence.

On February 23, in the framework of an official visit to the Republic of Armenia, the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia, Suren Papikyan, and the Minister for the Armed Forces of the French Republic, Sébastien Lecornu, held a private meeting at the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Armenia, followed by a meeting with participation of extended delegations During the meeting, the parties reviewed the achievements reached in the direction of defence cooperation and expressed satisfaction with the current status and results. The Ministers also outlined several new areas for cooperation. They emphasized the significance of Armenian-French military-technical cooperation within the context of the reforms of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia and the efforts to turn it into long-term institutional basis one. Special attention was paid to issues military education, combat training, various training programs, advisory and expert support. The meeting also covered the current status of military-technical cooperation and future actions to ensure its continuity. Additionally, Suren Papikyan and Sébastien Lecornu exchanged views on regional security issues. The Ministers highlighted that Armenian-French defence cooperation and joint endeavors are solely aimed at establishing long-term peace and stability in the South Caucasus region, as well as the development of the defencive capabilities of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia in order to strengthen the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of the Republic of Armenia.

On February 23, Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia Suren Papikyan hosted the Minister for the Armed Forces of the French Republic Sébastien Lecornu, who arrived on an official visit to the Republic of Armenia. A dignified welcome ceremony for Sébastien Lecornu was held at the premises of the Ministry of Defence, featuring the guard of honour and the military band. The national anthems of Armenia and France were played.

On February 17th, within the scope of the working visit to Germany, the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia, Suren Papikyan, and the Minister of Defence of Germany, Boris Pistorius, held a brief meeting. The interlocutors discussed the progress of Armenian-German cooperation, expressing satisfaction with the current state and agreeing to further expand cooperation. Both Ministers emphasized the significance of security and stability in the South Caucasus region. The German side expressed readiness to provide assistance for the ongoing reforms in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia.

On February 17th, on the sidelines of his working visit to the Federal Republic of Germany, the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia, Suren Papikyan, held a meeting with the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Bulgaria, Todor Tagarev. During the meeting, matters concerning Armenian-Bulgarian cooperation in the defence field were discussed. Additionally, various issues related to cooperation and regional security were addressed.
