The head of the university, Major-General Gennady Tavaratsyan presented to the head of the Ministry of Defense the functions of the NDRU, educational and perspective programs.

The Minister of Defense talked to the officers training at the university, in addition to professional knowledge, outlined the importance of the role of officers who are knowledgeable in regional security issues, endowed with analytical skills in making decisions aimed at overcoming security crises.

During the visit, Vagharshak Harutyunyan also visited the workplace of the commission created to collect and verificat the data of the servicemen and other persons who were taken prisoner during the hostilities, operating on the territory of NDRU, and got acquainted with the current work.

The chairman of the commission, Major General Arthur Simonyan presented to the Minister of Defense the work done and current activities. Vagharshak Harutyunyan once again stressed the importance of the work carried out by the commission to clarify the data on missing servicemen and civilians as well as the work carried out to return the prisoners.

The RA Minister of Defense also talked to the staff of the "Hotline" operating in the composition of the commission, thanked them for their work, inquired about the issues and problems most often raised by the applicants.
