On the occasion of the Army Day, the liturgy of the republican wish was served in the Holy Mother of God Church of Etchmiadzin

On January 29, presided over by His Holiness Garegin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, the liturgy of the republican wish was served in the Holy Mother of God Church of Etchmiadzin on the occasion of the Army Day.
The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Vagharshak Harutyunyan, representatives of the highest officer staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, the brotherhood of the Mother See and the chaplains of the spiritual leadership of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia.

The spiritual class and the military and people present at the ceremony prayed to God for peace, steadfastness and progress in Armenia and Artsakh, and for the victorious move of the Armenian army.

The Patriarch of All Armenians also sent a private prayer to heaven for peace and tranquility of the souls of the brave soldiers who were heroically martyred in the Artsakh war.

After the Republican Wish, an official reception was held in the ceremonial hall of the Gevorgyan Theological Seminary, during which the award ceremony took place. As a token of gratitude for the bravery shown in the Artsakh war, the Catholicos of All Armenians awarded a group of servicemen with the high order of “Saint Nerses Shnorali” of the Armenian Church.

During the reception, by the order of the RA Minister of Defense, a number of clergymen were awarded ministerial awards for their active participation in hostilities in the Republic of Artsakh.
