The announcement of the RA Ministry of Defence

On November 17, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Defence and Security Issues of the National Assembly Andranik Kocharyan once again presented his judgments from the parliamentary rostrum on the actions of the RA Ministry of Defence during the unleashed war against Artsakh, which, like all the previous observations and statements, were not only divorced from reality, but were also obviously aimed at distorting this reality and finding scapegoats for the current situation.

Why Andranik Kocharyan has recently been trying so hard to diminish the role of the army during the war, we leave on the conscience of the respected gentleman. However, deeply aware of the obvious and hidden dangers in his public statements, we have to once again touch upon his thoughts, which are another evidence that he does not have knowledge about the defence system.

In particular, the parliamentary official, coordinating the issues in the defence field, says that “there is no army as such, but they are armed people”. This is a manifestation of deep disrespect towards several tens of thousands of the Armenian army servicemen, who, contrary to Mr. Kocharyan, as a regular and efficient army, are currently on combat duty both on the borders of the Republic of Armenia and Artsakh. And if Mr. Kocharyan really thinks that “there is no army as such, but they are armed people”, then the Ministry of Defence will gladly accompany him to many units of the Armenian army, provided that he apologizes to the servicemen of those units, from soldier to officer and commander. To everyone.
