In his opening speech, Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation Sergey Shoygu noted that this is the first sitting in such a format and expressed confidence that the international military cooperation will become even more active after this sitting and the results of the sitting will contribute to the deepening of the interaction of the Ministries of Defence.

David Tonoyan made a brief speech on the international and regional security, prevention of the threat of inciting wars and armed conflicts, as well as on the consolidation of the efforts aimed at further strengthening of the military cooperation in the current conditions.

A number of documents were signed within the framework of CIS and CSTO. The specialists of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation provided the Ministers of Defence with the details about the development and testing of the Russian vaccine against COVID-19 which is the first COVID-19 vaccine in the world.

The participants of the sitting also visited the main cathedral of the Armed Forces of Russia and “Memory road” museum complex located in the vicinity of Moscow.

David Tonoyan found data about his grandfather, veteran of the Great Patriotic War Hovhannes Hakobov through the interactive search engine in the “Memory road” museum complex.

The “Memory road” museum complex was established to commemorate the memory of the Soviet servicemen who participated in the Great Patriotic War. There are 33.000.000 notes and photos to date.
