Briefings were held in the Crisis Information Center

On July 14, at 23.00, the first briefing of the Crisis Information Center was held in the Tavush Regional Administration.

The representative of the RA Ministry of Defence Artsrun Hovhannisyan reported on the operative situation in the northeastern part of the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border noting that after 18:00 a slackening of tension was observed.

During the day, the opponent shelled the villages of Chinari, Aygepar, Karmir Aghbyur, Berkaber and town of Berd. The opponent used mortars, artillery, rocket artillery assets and tanks. Fortunately, there are no casualties and injured people among the civilian population, the shelling caused material damage to the settlements. The residential houses and civilian infrastructures were damaged.

A. Hovhannisyan stressed that the Azerbaijani armed forces, true to their handwriting, continue to target their own civilian population by deploying their artillery assets near the border settlements.

It was also mentioned that during these days the anti-aircraft warfare units of the RA Armed Forces hit about 10 UAVs of the opponent, including the Israeli-made Hermes-900 reconnaissance unmanned air vehicle.

The next briefing was held on the morning of July 15. The representative of the RA Ministry of Defence Artsrun Hovhannisyan presented the operative situation of the night of July 14-15, stating that no large-caliber weapons or artillery assets were used on the state border during the night and in the morning.

We would also like to inform that the ten servicemen who received various degrees of injuries during the operations in the northeastern part of the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border are currently receiving treatment.

One serviceman is in an extremely serious condition. The condition of the five servicemen is assessed as moderate, with positive dynamics. The other servicemen will return to the ranks within the next week.
