Ensuring of the conscripts’ safety is the most important issue
1 July, 2020 18:49All the conscription activities in the gathering station are being carried out in the open-air areas. The conscripts receive medical masks, they disinfect their hands with hand sanitisers. There are special markings in the entire open-air area of the gathering station to keep a social distance between the conscripts.
After being met at the gathering station the conscripts are accompanied in small groups to the thermometry and blood sampling rooms where, keeping a social distance, the boy’s body temperature is checked and then a blood sample is taken to check the existence of the antibodies to COVID-19 in blood.
There is a specially equipped laboratory at the gathering station for the purpose of receiving the results of the conscripts’ blood tests in a short time and quickly isolating the conscripts in the specially equipped rooms in case of the suspicious results and testing for the diagnostics of the coronavirus.
The conscripts then undergo a fluorographic examination, the conclusions and problematic issues on the medical examinations in their personal files once again are reviewed and discussed.
“Only the exclusively healthy conscripts and conscripts having no suspicious symptoms should be drafted into the army," assured head of the conscription and mobilization service of the RA Ministry of Defence, Colonel A. Avtandilyan. He also noted that after passing the phases of the medical examination in accordance with the established procedure at the republican gathering station, the conscripts will be in the quarantine zone for another 14 days before leaving for the military units selected by drawing after which they will pass a double test for the diagnosis of the coronavirus and only after comparing the results of two tests, the recruits will join the ranks of the Armed Forces.
The medical examination is followed by the provision of the name tags to the conscripts in personal numbers. After the conversation with the members of the commission recruiting the educational military units, the distinguishing badges for the classification are added to the conscripts’ conventional numbers. On their basis, the conscripts take part in the drawing choosing the number of the military unit from the corresponding drum.
Taking into account the ongoing epidemic situation in the country, unlike the previous conscriptions, this time the parents of the conscripts will follow the drawing process online from the territorial subdivisions.
