The activities of the commission for the discussion of the citizens' applications and complaints will be organized in view of the epidemic situation

During the summer conscription of 2020, as during the previous conscription, the commission for the discussion of the citizens' applications and complaints will operate under the auspices of the Public Council adjacent to the RA Minister of Defence.

The commission formed by the order of the RA Minister of Defence plays an important role in the conscription process. It is obliged to discuss the citizens' applications and complaints, participate in the resolution of the issues raised in them, monitor the conscription process, mark out and present the noteworthy questions.

During the summer conscription of 2020 the work of the commission will be organized in view of the epidemic situation. The measures will be taken to ensure its safe conduct from the point of view of health. The working areas will be permanently disinfected and aired. The members of the commission and citizens will be provided with the disinfection and protective equipment. The number of the participants will be reasonably limited, the regular replacement of the members of the commission will be made, the sittings will be convened more often reducing the number of the applications and complaints being discussed during one sitting, as well as the duration of the sittings, there will be a safe distance between the participants of the sitting and so on.

Unfortunately, the media representatives cannot participate in the sittings because of the current situation which is a temporary departure from the working principles of the commission. However, the media can get the information and comments they are interested in by the phone. In the same way, the issues of concern to the citizens will be clarified avoiding their reception and direct contact.

No more than two people can participate in the discussion of the application-complaint: a conscript and one member of his family.

You need to write an application-complaint at home, attach the necessary documents and send the full package to the commission through one person or by mail.

The applications and complaints are received  on the weekdays from 10:00, while for the clarifications you need to call (010) 52 34 82.

We are sure that we will ensure the normal work of the commission due to our conscious and responsible behavior.

The above-mentioned commission, which operates under the auspices of the Public Council adjacent to the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia, is one of the main addressees for the citizens' applications and complaints and the most effective unit for their solution.

Over the entire period of the commission’s activity more than 3 thousand citizens have made use of its service. During the previous conscription the commission received 111 applications and complaints, directly participating in the solution of the problems raised in 68 of them. With the intervention of the commission the 21 control medical examinations and 2 operations of the conscripts were performed, due to which the important data on their diseases and health problems were revealed. In this regard, the role of private medical examinations is also significant, the data of which are compared with the other examination data. This helps to come to more substantiated conclusions.

In total, the 28 conclusions on the fitness of the conscripts for the military service were reviewed, according to which the 18 conscripts were deferred up to 1 year, 5 conscripts were deferred for a period of 3 years and 5 conscripts were considered unfit for the military service. In addition, the conscription of 1 conscript was suspended because of the family circumstances.
