On November 16-18, 2007 RA President, Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia visited a number of frontier military units. The President was accompanied by RA Defense Minister Micahel Hautyunyan.

The aim of the visit was to get acquainted with the military and technical preparedness of the military units, implementation of educational programs, and the social conditions of the staff. The President visited the gymnasiums to follow the training process. He talked to soldiers and officers and familiarized with their living conditions. During the three-day visit the Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces had the opportunity to learn about the efficiency of military units carrying out frontier duty, the military, strategic and psychological state of soldiers, the social conditions of the officers and their families.
