On November 10, a meeting with the third group of servicemen with disabilities leaving for Jerusalem as part of the charity program "Pilgrimage to Jerusalem" was held at the Department of Social Protection of the RA Ministry of Defence.

The charitable program, the purpose of which is to contribute to the psychological rehabilitation and reintegration of former servicemen who had severe injuries as a result of the 44-day war, was developed by the joint efforts of the RA NA Standing Committee on Defence and Security and the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem. The RA Ministry of Defence joined the initiative and took the leadership of its implementation together with the Committee on Defence and Security of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.

During the meeting, the Chairman of the Committee on Defence and Security of the RA National Assembly, A. Kocharyan, stressed that with the Ministry of Defence joining the program, the mission of the program was supplemented in a new sense: to ensure constant communication between the army and the defenders of the Motherland, keeping them under the constant care of the state and the army, to strengthen the connection between the army, its defenders and the church. The embodiment of this advice is that both officers who have passed through the crucible of war and the spiritual leader of the RA Armed Forces Vardapet Movses Sargsyan are involved in the group accompanying the wounded servicemen. The spiritual leader of the RA Armed Forces conveyed the blessing of the Supreme Patriarch to the participants of the pilgrimage.

Welcoming the participants of the pilgrimage, Deputy Defence Minister A. Sargsyan expressed the full support of the Ministry of Defence to the program, stressed the importance of ensuring its continuity, expressing the hope that as many wounded servicemen as possible would take part in the program.

The next group will leave for Jerusalem on November 15, accompanied by representatives of the National Defence and Security Standing Committee.
