A program of bilateral military cooperation for 2022 was signed between Armenia and Lithuania

On December 2, in the administrative complex of the RA Ministry of Defence, consultations were held on the planning of Armenian-Lithuanian bilateral cooperation in the field of defence, in which delegations headed by the Head of the Department of Defence Policy and International Cooperation of the Republic of Armenia Levon Ayvazyan and the Head of the Department of International Relations and Operations of the Ministry of National defence of Lithuania Andrius Purvanetskas participated.

During the consultations, issues related to regional security, international development, as well as cooperation between the defense ministries of Armenia and Lithuania were discussed. Levon Ayvazyan presented the situation on the borders of Armenia, Armenia's approaches to the necessary steps to reduce tension.

The participants of the meeting summed up the results of the work done in previous years within the framework of bilateral cooperation, discussed the possibilities of developing cooperation. Based on the agreements reached, the Program of Bilateral Military Cooperation between Armenia and Lithuania for 2022 was signed, which provides for 71 events in Armenia and Lithuania. The events relate to the exchange of experience in areas of mutual interest, training, military medicine, military-political consultations.
