At the beginning of the meeting, ambassador Schmermers congratulated Arshak Karapetyan on assuming the post of Minister of Defence. At the request of the ambassador, the Minister of Defence presented the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

They exchanged views on the regional and international security environment, opportunities for bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
