The RA Minister of Defense introduced the newly appointed commander of the army corps

On August 7, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Arshak Karapetyan introduced the newly appointed commander of the army corps, Colonel Alexander Tsakanyan to the commanding staff of the 3rd army corps and subordinate subdivisions.

The head of the defense department highly appreciated the contribution of Colonel Tsakanyan to the building of the army and the defense of the Motherland, expressing confidence that the army corps, led by the newly appointed commander, will fully carry out the tasks assigned to it. At the same time, Minister Karapetyan strictly instructed to suppress all attempts of the enemy to cross the border of Armenia.

During the working visit Arshak Karapetyan also visited the military units subordinated to the army corps, laid flowers at the memorial to the servicemen killed during the last Artsakh war, as well as got acquainted with the educational and social-living conditions of the subdivisions. The head of the defense department instructed to correct all the shortcomings and omissions registered by him in a short time.

To check the combat readiness of the personnel, the tank and artillery subdivisions of the army corps were "alerted".

At the end of the visit, Minister Karapetyan awarded a number of servicemen participating in the 44-day war with valuable gifts, instructed their superiors to present the most prominent servicemen for awarding them with departmental medals.
