On May 24, the acting Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia Vagharshak Harutyunyan had a telephone conversation with the Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Stanislav Zas. Vagharshak Harutyunyan presented the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border as a result of the Azeri provocation, and the recent developments.

The RA Defence Minister once again stressed that encroachments on the sovereign territories of the Republic of Armenia are absolutely inadmissible, noting that the CSTO also plays an active role in resolving the issue.

Stanislav Zas assured that the CSTO is closely following the developments around the situation and that the structure is taking the necessary steps to resolve the issue peacefully.
