The military police of the RA Ministry of Defence is 29 years old

On May 5, on the occasion of the 29th anniversary of the formation of the military police of the RA Ministry of Defence, the head of the RA Police, Colonel Ashot Zakaryan greeted and congratulated the staff of the RA Police. In memory of the military policemen who died during the hostilities, a prayer was said, flowers were laid at the monument commemorating the memory of the Armenians who died in the defence of the Motherland.

Acting Minister of Defence Vagharshak Harutyunyan took part in the ceremony organized by the Military Police of the RA Ministry of Defence and paid tribute to the memory of the killed military policemen.

Greeting and congratulating on the professional holiday, Vagharshak Harutyunyan stressed the role of the military police in strengthening discipline and ensuring law and order in the Armed Forces, and highly assessed the activity of the structure during the last Artsakh war. The Defense Minister referred to the ongoing reforms in the Armed Forces, in particular, in the military police, emphasizing that the service aimed at ensuring the security of the homeland should be continued with new energy and more responsibility.

At the end of the event, posthumous awards were given for their contribution to the defense of the Homeland and selflessness. A number of military police servicemen were encouraged for the conscientious performance of their duties and exemplary service.
