Vagharshak Harutyunyan and Sergei Shoigu discussed issues of Armenian-Russian military cooperation

On April 7, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia Vagharshak Harutyunyan and the Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu.

The heads of the defence ministries of the allied countries discussed a wide range of issues related to the activity of the 102nd Russian military base located in Armenia, and the activity of the united Armenian-Russian group of forces, large-scale reforms launched in the Armenian army, as well as the resolution of security issues in Syunik.

Vagharshak Harutyunyan and Sergei Shoigu also touched upon the mission carried out by the Russian peacekeeping contingent in Nagorno-Karabakh.
