On February 23, an incident took place in the N military unit of the RA Ministry of Defense, during which the parents and relatives of a group of servicemen tried to prevent the return of the servicemen sent home for vacation to their military units. A disorder took place on the territory of the military unit, during which a number of servicemen, at the instigation of their parents gathered outside, refused to go to their places of permanent location, and some of them, taking advantage of the situation, self-willed left the territory of the military unit.

Relevant work is being done to find them. An official investigation has been appointed by the command of the military unit in connection with the incident, and the military police are preparing materials to initiate a criminal case in connection with the servicemen who left the military unit self-willed.

The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia strongly condemns what happened and urges the citizens to refrain from provoking such actions, especially from steps that interfere with the vital activity of the Armed Forces under martial law and at the stage of post-war reconstruction and reorganization, which obviously jeopardizes the implementation of tasks related to the security of the state in this difficult period.

We consider it necessary to mention that in all such cases, when there are circumstances of violation of the law, appropriate work will be done to give a legal assessment to those actions.
