The Minister of Defence of Armenia met with the family members of the servicemen

On November 18, Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia David Tonoyan met with the family members of the servicemen who took part in the Artsakh war and whose whereabouts are still unknown.

The Minister of Defence informed the servicemen’s relatives that the search operations in the places where the military operations took place continue and the representatives of the Armed Forces are working together with the relevant structures to collect data.

David Tonoyan informed the servicemen’s relatives that the representatives of the Russian peacekeeping contingent deployed in Artsakh and ICRC are actively involved in the search operations and they are supported by the State Service for Emergency Situations of Artsakh. David Tonoyan noted that the activities in some areas are completed and the search groups continue to carry out their mission in the new territories.

Touching upon the issue of granting leave to the servicemen continuing their service in Artsakh, the Minister emphasized that the process of granting leave will be carried out in December, when the issues related to the defence and protection of the borders of Artsakh will be clarified once and for all.
