The winner of the “Athlete” sport event was decided

Within the framework of the “Warrior of the commonwealth” competition being held in the Republic of Armenia, the “Athlete” sport event was held in two rounds. On the first day, the participants measured their strength in the several types of exercises in the territory of one of military units: running 100 meters, stretching on the horizontal bar, throwing a grenade based on accuracy and range, after which the female servicemen of the teams finished their performances in the given round. Senior Lieutenant Armine Grigoryan from the team of the RA Armed Forces is the best in the given sport event.

On the second day, the men competed in the military pentathlon and complex professional readiness competitions. The participants, overcoming difficult terrain conditions by running, using AK-74 assault rifle hit the targets, threw grenade, knife and performed other exercises.

Comparing the results of the two-day competitions, the Russian team became the winner in the “Athlete” sport event. Belarus is in the second place. The team of the RA Armed Forces finished in the top three.
