The structure and functions of the newly established department for health, social protection and veterans of the RA Ministry of Defence were presented, the possibilities of expanding the cooperation in the directions arising from the functions of the department within the ICRC’s mandate were discussed during the meeting.

The ICRC representatives presented the assistance programs implemented in recent years to improve the social situation of the missing persons’ family members and stressed the importance of comparing the efforts with the Ministry of Defence in this direction.

Both sides noted the importance of ensuring the duration of the activities being carried out within the framework of the already approved cooperation and strengthening the results achieved.
