On August 3, Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia David Tonoyan had a telephone conversation with Minister of National Defence of the Republic of Lebanon, Deputy Prime Minister Mrs. Zeina Akar.
The RA Minister of Defence congratulated his counterpart on the 75th anniversary of the Lebanese Armed Forces.

The interlocutors discussed the epidemic situation in the Armed Forces of the two countries, exchanged views on creating additional opportunities for the interaction.

Zeina Akar stressed the importance of the participation of the RA Armed Forces in the UN’s UNIFIL mission in Lebanon, in response to which the RA Minister of Defence reaffirmed the determination of the Armenian side to continue it.

David Tonoyan and Zeina Akar also touched upon the regional military-political developments and the need to expand and deepen the military cooperation within the framework of the bilateral agreements.
