On July 1, Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia David Tonoyan had a telephone conversation with Minister of National Defence of the Republic of Lithuania Raimundas Karoblis.

The Minister of Defence of Armenia expressed gratitude to his Lithuanian counterpart for the support of the Ministry of National Defence of Lithuania and his personal support in providing assistance to Armenia by the Lithuanian government within the framework of the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, particularly for the humanitarian aid, as well as for transporting a group of specialists to Armenia via a plane of the Lithuanian air force. The Minister of Defence of Armenia stated that the actions of Lithuania attest to the warm and friendly relations between the two countries and peoples.

The interlocutors discussed issues related to the Armenian-Lithuanian defence cooperation, attached importance to the resumption of the actions planned within the framework of the cooperation, but suspended because of the pandemic and expressed confidence that the high-level military-political dialogue will also be resumed after overcoming the obstacles caused by the coronavirus.
