On July 1, as part of the defense cooperation programs of the Republic of Armenia and the United Kingdom, the British Embassy in Yerevan provided locally purchased personal protective equipment to the RA Ministry of Defence. The assistance aimed to support the prevention of the spread of the pandemic.

The event was attended by Chargé d'Affaires of the United Kingdom in Armenia, Ambassador David Moran and Head of the Military Medical Department of the RA Armed Forces, Colonel Sahak Ohanyan.

Ambassador David Moran welcomed Armenia’s participation in the global efforts to prevent the spread of the coronavirus pandemic and expressed hope that the British Embassy was able to contribute to the reduction of the risk of pandemic to those actively tackling similar challenges.
