Recently, on the initiative of the EducationUSA office in Armenia of the American Councils for International Education with the RA Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, an awareness-discussion has been organized on the procedure for obtaining an education-based deferment and amendments to the relevant legal acts.

During the informational discussion, which was attended by the representatives of interested departments, the young people who want to continue their education abroad and members of their families were thoroughly presented to the procedure for granting deferment from conscription of the mandatory military service to citizens who have significant achievements in the field of education and science.
