Vigen Sargsyan attends joint meeting of CSTO foreign ministers, Council of Defence Ministers and NSC secretaries in Minsk

The joint meeting of CSTO foreign ministers, Council of Defence Ministers and NSC secretaries has kicked off in Minsk, Belarus, with heads of member states, secretaries of security councils, foreign ministers and defence ministers participating in it. Issues related to CSTO activities, including international terrorism, drug trafficking and illegal migration, will be discussed at the meeting.

On the sidelines of his official visit to Belarus, Armenian Defence Minister Vigen Sargsyan held working meetings with his counterparts from the CSTO member states, including Russian Defence Minister Sergey Shoygu.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the CSTO, which includes Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kirgizstan and Tajikistan. The Collective Security Treaty was signed in Tashkend on May 15, 1992, giving birth to the organization.
