Armenia’s Defence Minister attends International Army Games 2017 opening ceremony

The third International Army Games, with participation of 4000 military personnel from 28 countries, started near Moscow on July 29.

The games will be held in 21 polygons of five countries: Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Belarus and China.

Armenian Defence Minister Vigen Sargsyan was also present at the opening ceremony. The Armenian Army is represented by a 75-member team in this competition. The Armenian servicemen will compete in the tank biathlon, as well as in the competitions of sappers, scouts and snipers. Israel, Syria, Uzbekistan and Morocco will compete in the games for the first time. The games will be held until August 12. On August 5, the day of Armenia will be held in Alabino polygon near Moscow to feature Armenian songs and dances.
