Deputy assistant to the general secretary of NATO on matters concerning new security challenges, Dr. James Shin and member of the NATO international staff responsible for matters concerning Armenia, Gwen Vamos, visited the National Defense Research University of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia on November 17th, in the context of events organized for "NATO week" in Armenia.

The head of the National Defense Research University of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, doctor of political science, professor, general-lieutenant Hayk Kotanjyan presented the guests with the university's mission, goal, main issues of interest, and curriculum. It was noted that a special place is reserved at the NDRU , for cyber-security and IT resource management. This is the basis for the creation of the Cybersecurity and IT Resources Management institute, on the foundation of the National Security Policy and IT-Communication Technologies Center of the NDRU.

The NATO officials expressed high regard for the research and educational programs implemented at the NDRU, expressing hopes that they will contribute to the modernization of the defense-security systems of the Republic Armenia.
