Participating in the event organized by the National Assembly, government, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Education and Science and the women's council of the the Republican Party of Armenia, were teachers whose students heroically fought in the April combat operations, willing choosing death. Those teachers who students were awarded with state and agency awards were also present.

During the speeches that sounded the ceremony, not only were words of gratitude presented to the teachers, for raising a patriotic generation and soldiers fit for their nation, but several teachers were presented with rewards and symbolic gifts from the President, Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia.

Congratulating the teacher with regards to their holiday, Vigen Sargsyan highlighted the fact that a teacher is not only a symbol of wisdom and the past for each individual, but is also the architect of the future, since before being mobilized, it is the work of teachers that determines the combat readiness of the Armed Forces. Therefore, it is necessary to do the utmost in order to strengthen the ties between the student, the soldier, the commander and the teacher, since heroic soldiers and commanders cannot exist without heroic parents and teachers. The proof of this was seen in the April combat operations.
