As a result of cooperation with the UN Population Foundation and the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, the collective monograph entitled "The woman and the army: issues, challenges, and opportunities" has been published. It was coauthored by the senior assistant to the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, deputy-colonel Alik Avetisyan, and the head of applied sociology at the Yerevan State University, Dr., professor Artur Atanesyan.

The research concerned the issue of women's participation in Armed Forces, in the context of the challenges and opportunities for women in the military in Armenia.

In order to present the research and raise the level of awareness concerning relevant reforms, the group that authored the paper visited different regions in the Republic of Armenia, and had meetings with groups of school and preliminary military education teachers. Workshops and seminars are also planned to take place.
