According to the Armed Forces calendar, October 19th is celebrated as the day of Rocket and Artillery Troops.

The rocket and artillery subdivisions were established along with the formation of the RA Armed Forces. They have played a significant role in the protection of our country’s borders, as well as in ensuring the security of Artsakh.

Almost every combat operation was executed through the professional use of rocket and artillery weapons, which allowed us to gain combat advantage over the enemy from various sections of the frontline.

The rocket and artillery troops of the RA Armed Forces represent the main enemy retaliatory measure. Currently, the RA AF Rocket and Artillery Troops are equipped with precision-guided munitions, reactive system volley fires, and anti-tank missile systems; which enables us to strike the enemy’s essential targets and efficiently retaliate against any weaponry used by the enemy from distant outskirts.

Great attention was paid to the use of radio technical, optical-electronic reconnaissance systems (hardware), as well as of unmanned aerial vehicles.
