Conference of the Law Enforcement Bodies of the Ministry of Defence

A concluding conference of the 2010 work of the Investigation Services and the Military Police was held in the ARM Ministry of Defence.

Head of the MoD Military Police, Colonel Aram Ter-Sahakyan, Head of Investigation Services, Major-General Armen Harutyunyan made speeches. ARM Minister of Defence Seyran Ohanyan mentioned in his speech that in order to decrease crimes in the Armed Forces, greater prevention work should be done, emphasizing the use of the best educational methods, the improvement of the professional knowledge of servicemen, and the preservation of good military manners. The Minister said that discipline issues are going to be in the center of attention for the MoD leadership in the first half of 2011,so that all the problems can be solved, increasing the discipline level in the Armed Forces. Talking about the incident between a detachment commander and a number of citizens, which was recently much spoken about, Mr. Ohanyan particularly mentioned, “With the combat experience of an Artsach war participant, I feel special respect towards all the participants of the war. But I believe that being an Artsakh war veteran is very binding, too. And it’s natural that our society expects all the war participant officers to be good influence. Henceforward, we are going to be intolerant towards any legal violation, so that the success achieved by life of our fallen comrades can last longer, and the Army providing this success can be disciplined. AF rules are for everyone to follow. Deputy of Ministry of Defence, Major-General Vladimir Gasparyan and ARM Military Prosecutor Gevorg Kostanyan also made speeches..
