Today ARM Defence Minister Seyran Ohanyan visited Yerevan Automated Control Systems Scientific Research Institute’s (YerACSSRI) cybersecurity center of excellence, which will serve as a platform within the defence system, identifying problems and developing innovative solutions for cybersecurity. The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the center’s programs, objectives and issues.

DIV class="mat_main_text" align="justify">Provide high-tech solutions and shape highly qualified specialists for research projects, within the defence system, develop programs intended for the imporvement of pre-draftees’ knowledge and skills – these are just a few of the priority tasks of the cybersecurity center of excellence. Their primary objective is to integrate the innovative technologies within the defence reforms. The following issues and several other matters, including the terms of cooperation between the Defence Ministry and cybersecurity center of excellence, were discussed throughout the conference held in YerACSSRI, during which the executive personnel of the training center and tech industry’s leading experts presented Defence Minister Seyran Ohanyan with a number of bilateral program proposals. The Minister of Defence expressed gratitude for the tremendous work and is certain that the center of excellence will reach its goals by collaborating with leading international technological companies. During his visit to the YerACSSRI, Seyran Ohanyan also attended the 14th International Specialized Exhibition “Healthcare and Pharmaceutical EXPO 2015” and acquainted himself with a number of local and international companies’ equipments and services. The Minister of Defence was also present at the MoD military-industrial product presentation center, which is stil under construction, where he was presented with the innovations of ongoing activities and information technology.
