The 20th anniversary of Armavir Military and Sports specialized college named after Tigran Mets

Today, celebrations were held in Armavir Military and Sports specialized college named after Tigran Mets in honor of its 20th anniversary. ARM Defence Minister Seyran Ohanyan attended the ceremony in order to congratulate the college’s teaching and cadet staff on this occasion.

The Chief of Military and Sports specialized college, Colonel Koryun Ghumashyan, greeted the guests and attendants, and briefly presented the history of the institute. He proudly stated that during the last 20 years, the institute has educated more than 1470 students, who are today high-ranking officers of the army. The Colonel also added that the institute remains loyal to its slogan, “Never rest on your laurels”. The ARM Minister of Defence congratulated the attendants on the occasion of the 20th anniversary and stressed that the Military and Sports specialized college named after Tigran Mets plays a specific role in the provision of our country’s security. The Defence Minister believes that the institute’s staff will pursue its patriotic and humane education, for success is achieved through diligent and purposeful work. Congratulatory speeches were held by present and former students of the institute, as well as representatives of the teaching staff. During the awarding ceremony, Colonel Koryun Ghumashyan and a number of teachers and veterans were awarded with ARM MoD administrative medals and gifts, by the decree of the ARM Minister of Defence. The celebrations concluded with demonstrative speeches by students, a parade and display of military drones.
