The results of the “Unity 2014” military exercises have been summarized

Today, a consultation meeting was held in the administrative complex of the RA Ministry of Defence, dedicated to the summarization of the results of the operational and tactical military exercises of “Unity 2014” conducted for the safety and security of the Republic of Armenia and the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic during the month of November, within the framework of the 2014 military cooperation plan.

The meeting was attended by commanders of military detachments, units and defence areas, as well as other senior officials, from both Armenian republics. During the consultation, the Chief of General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, Colonel-General Yuri Khachaturov and the Chief of the Operative Department, Major-General Artak Davtyan held speeches on the final results of the military exercises. Discussions were held on the shortcomings and deficiencies submitted during the military exercises, as well as on the ways of correcting them. After discussing the issues raised, the superior command gave corresponding instructions. RA Defence Minister Seyran Ohanyan reviewed the consultation meeting. The Minister of Defence recognized the military exercises as successful in terms of information exchange and cooperation, and also urged the attendants to draw conclusions from the results and finally gave the appropriate instructions. A number of servicemen who were able to distinguish themselves from others during the operational and tactical military exercises of “Unity 2014” were given awards.
