Another work trip for the RA Minister of Defence

On October 21, RA Defence Minister Seyran Ohanyan went on a work trip to visit several military units of the 2nd Army Corps.

The Minister of Defence was accompanied by the RA MoD Chief of Staff Garnik Hayrapetyan, the RA MoD capital construction and quartering of soldiers department head Ashot Grigoryan, Army Corps Commander, Major-General Poghos Poghosyan, Governor of Gegharkunik Rafik Grigoryan and others. Within the framework of the work trip, the Defence Minister met with the personnel of the military units, inquired about the daily activities of the servicemen, as well as the social and living conditions. During his visit, Minister Ohanyan acquainted himself with the thorough construction works aimed at the improvement of military units and also took part in the opening ceremony of the new health clinic in one of the military units. Particular attention was given to the construction and renovation works on the ancillary structures within the military subdivisions, such as kitchens, health clinics, watch houses and other similar facilities. The main objective of the visit was to increase the level of preparedness of conscript soldiers by familiarizing with their military service obligations and the implemented construction works within the military units, and also to present the current reforms of the Armed Forces, the recent counter attacks against the enemy and the issues faced by the Armenian Army. As a symbol of military honour, glory and courage, the military flag was handed to one of the panzer units of the army corps.
