During the consultation, Chief of Military Police of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Armenia, Samvel Ghukasyan delivered a report on the results of activities carried out by the military police throughout the last 9 months of 2014. RA Defence Deputy Minister Ara Nazaryan stressed the importance of the progress made during the accounting period, due to the collaboration between the military police and the command staff of military units. The progress is mostly emphasized by this year’s decrease in the number of accidents and incidents, compared to last year. In order to raise the level of discipline in military units it is necessary to continue the course of joint activities to insure the statutory protection of the relationship amongst conscript soldiers, to prevent harmful behaviour within military units and also to implement appropriate measures against economic crimes, in order to detect and avert the abuse of military assets. Furthermore, the military police were given a set of instructions for this winter’s soldier recruitment process, to properly carry out the necessary preparatory work.
