During the meeting, the Minister presented the course of reforms within the armed forces, their achievements and future plans, as well as the development stages of the Armenian Army, to the teachers and students of the university. The Minister of Defence stressed the importance of the army-society relationship and emphasized on the army’s close ties with universities. Mr.Seyran Ohanyan also underlined that 2014 has been a year of struggle against ill-mannered conduct for the armed forces and noted that the role of teachers is crucial in shaping national values and imposing lofty ideas within the youth. Minister Ohanyan also answered questions asked by students and teachers. At the end of the meeting, the Defence Minister awarded several students and teachers with certificates, departmental medals and valuable gifts. Mr.Ohanyan also fostered two students from the French University who are currently carrying out their military service and granted them a short-term vacation.
