During the visit the First deputy had meetings with Major General Lee Tafanelli, Adjutant General of Kansas, and Mr.Sam Brownback, Governor of the State of Kansas discussing the cooperation of between the Armed Forces of Armenia and the Kansas National Guard under Armenia- Kansas State partnership program and possibilities of expanding it. At the end of the meetingKansas Governor Sam Brownback issued a proclamation in acknowledgment of more that10 years of successful cooperation between the Armenian Armed Forces and the Kansas National Guard, and special relations the Ministries of Defenseand Emergency Situations of Armenian and the Kansas National Guard enjoy. The First Deputy Minister of Armenia was also among the distinguished visitors on hand to tour Crisis City during Vigilant Guard, where 5 delegates from Armenia also were participating.
