The meeting was attended by the Advisor of the President of Armenia, Chief Military Inspector, Colonel-General Mikayel Harutyunyan, Chief of General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, Colonel-General Yuri Khachaturov, Deputy Ministers of Defence and Deputy Chiefs of General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, heads of departments of the ARM MoD, GS and AAF Defense, commanders of military units and others. In the presentation of the agenda of the meeting, Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan emphasized the role of the air defense forces in ensuring the combat efficiency of the national army. Defense Minister noted with satisfaction that today the air defence forces are one of the more combat-efficient and enhanced branches of the Armeian Armed Forces , and with the latest given equipment, defence capabilities are on the exclusive level. During the meeting, a report was given by the Head of the Air Defense Forces of the Armenian Armed Forces, Colonel Armen Vardanyan, who presented the current state of the Air Defence Systems and directions of improving the educational and materal base of the systems. According to Colonel Armen Vardanyan recently, significant work has been carried out to ensure the safe and smooth operation of weapons and military equipment while the military technical means are equipped, and there is an improvement of the professional skills of the personnel. The reports on the combat capabilities of the air defense forces, improvement of the the efficiency of the control system, the current measures and further steps taken for modernization of armaments and military equipment, as well as the reports and proposals on the current issues of the field were given by the heads of departments, commanders of the military units and other senior-ranking officers.
