In accordance with the Work Plan of the Council of Defense Ministers of CIS member states of 2014., and for the purpose of taking steps aimed at creating confidence-building measures in the region, ARM Defense Minister has planned a working trip of the ARM Armed Forces delegation in Baku to attend the regular meeting of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the member states of CIS.

Delegation route to the venue and a return were provided through transit in Moscow, where the representatives of the Armenian Armed Forces arrived on 7th of April. Despite of an invitation from the Secretary of CIS Defence Ministers Council, as well as a formal notice sent to the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the host nation has not confirmed their interest and willingness to provide reception of the Armenian delegation. Thereby delegations’ departure from Moscow to Baku was canceled.
