Yerevan will address issues to improve the united air defense system of the CIS
7 April, 2014 00:00In the period from 8 to 10 April 2014 in Yerevan, 40th anniversary meeting of the Coordinating Committee for the defense of the Council of Defense Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States and educational gathering with the commander of the aerospace defense (the Air force , Air Defense , Air Defense forces ) of the Agreement on establishment of a joint air defense system of the Commonwealth of Independent States, were held.
The events will be attended by delegations from the Ministries of Defence of the Republics of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. The meetings will focus on the improvement and further development of the joint air defense system, strengthening bilateral and multilateral military cooperation among the CIS Member States in the field of defense, and also summarize the activities of the Coordinating Committee and its working agencies for 2013. Within the frame of educational and methodical gathering, introduction of the members of foreign delegations to the features of the military-industrial complex of the Republic of Armenia is planned.
