The goal of the visit is to provide methodological support, within the frame of the strategic review, in particular the direction of the current security environment and threat assessment. On February 25, during the meeting with the ARM Defence Minister Seyran Ohanyan, experts from the U.S. presented their observations of the work carried out on the threat assessment, emphasizing the key importance of the current phase in successful implementation of the whole process of the strategic review. Defence Minister Seyran Ohanyan highly assessed the contribution of the International Advisers in this very important program for the security sphere of the Republic of Armenia, assuring that the ARM Ministry of Defence carries out the partnership on this direction with the mutual trust and cooperation. The visit of the Advisory Group will continue until February 28. Within the frame of the visit, experts from the U.S. will conduct discussions with the working group, formed in the ARM Ministry of Defence for the threat assessment, as well as involving the representatives fro the ARM non-governmental organizations and academic circles.
