On 28 October a delegation headed by Minister of National Defence of the Hellenic Republic Dimitris Avramopoulos paid an official two-day visit to Armenia upon invitation from Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan.

An official welcoming ceremony was held at the administrative complex of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Armenia, after which a private meeting took place between the defence ministers of the two countries, followed by an extended meeting between the delegations. During the meeting the parties discussed issues related to Armenia-Greece bilateral military cooperation, as well as regional and international security. Both parties highly valued the extent of the existing cooperation between defence departments of Armenia and Greece, as evidenced by the near completion of the 2013 bilateral military cooperation action plan, as well as the subsequent visits of the Chief of General Staff and the Minister of National Defence of Greece to Armenia. The delegation headed by the Minister of National Defence of the Hellenic Republic also visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial and laid a wreath to commemorate victims of the Armenian Genocide.
